As General Manager of The Webby Awards, Nick leads strategic development, partnerships and industry relations to continue the Webbys’ mission of honoring excellence online. Nick is an award-winning producer, filmmaker, and content executive with a diverse background in film, television, audio, and digital. After roles at Topic Studios, Hud:sun Media, and Participant Media, he founded Brumor Films to create original content and manage events & partnerships for clients like The Gotham Film & Media Institute, Screen Australia, and the Consulate General of Canada. Notable credits include the Emmy-nominated series AKA WYATT CENAC, Webby Award-winning podcast MISSING RICHARD SIMMONS, and collaborations with filmmakers Sharon Horgan and Robert Kirkman.Â
Dan Franks is one of the driving forces behind Podcast Movement, the world's largest podcaster community. He's the co-founder and president, and is all about bringing podcasters together. PM throw two big conferences a year – the Podcast Movement and Evolutions conferences – and spend the rest of their time on educating and helping to build an even better podcast industry.
Before Dan jumped into the podcasting universe, he was crunching numbers as a CPA for eight years. He then switched gears to become the Business Manager and Director of Live Events at Midroll Media prior to going all-in on Podcast Movement. And before all of that – he spent his younger years globe-trotting as a professional wrestler! When he's not busy with podcasting stuff or reminiscing about his wrestling days, Dan spends his time in Dallas, Texas, enjoying life with his wife and kids.
